11:00am Taste of Diversity WELCOME
11:10am - MahataMmoho Collective: “The meaning, Stepping together as one”! This dance companies focus is to bring together artists from all works of life and professions to create works of unity and cultural exchange
12:10pm - “Comienzos” - Comienzos interpret a rich repertoire of Central American, Brazillian and world music spanning from traditional folk to modern pop in a cross over jazz format. The trio brings to audiences colorful bubbles of temporal pauses and voyages, hip moving rhythms and energetic and playful improvisations.
1:20pm - “Devi Bollywood Performing Arts” - Devi Bollywood Performing Arts was founded in 2013. It is rooted in dance forms from India Classical Dance, Folk Dance, and Bollywood Dance with an artistic blend of Western dance forms.
1:45pm - West Side Business & Tax Payers Association Scholarship Presentation
2:00pm - “Blaise Mercedes” - Blaise Mercedes is a multi-faceted performer with roots in Buffalo music and theatre. The “deeply soulful vocalist” takes inspiration from their humble beginnings as an electric backing vocalist and their passion for rock and jazz.
3:15pm - “El Batey Cultural Center” - El Batey is a non-profit organization committed to centering family, education, culture, and traditions as the cornerstones for a thriving Puerto Rican community. El Batey offers a stunning cultural performance with a beautiful repertoire of traditional songs accompanied by authentic percussion and dance arrangements. It is a spectacular artistic representation of Puerto Ricos folklore, culture and history.
4:30pm - Ramisa Fariha- Bangladesh traditional dancer
5:00pm - “Type Relevant” - Type Relevant is thee preeminent live Hip-Hop band in Buffalo NY. Entertaining a wide range of crowds with a unique blend of live HIp-Hop, based in Jazz, Blues and Funk; one must see the band live to truly appreciate the technical prowess and improvisational skill they possess.
