2025 MAIN STAGE @Auburn:
11:15am MahataMmoho Collective: Stepping together as one! This dance company brings together artists from all walks of life to create beautiful works of unity and cultural exchange.
12:30pm North East Zouk : Pedro and Ana are Brazilian Zouk World Champions and cultural ambassadors of Brazil’s Vibrant dance tradition. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, they bring over 20 years of combined experience in dance, including Contemporary, Jazz and Classical Ballet - all of which enrich the expressive, flowing style of Brazilian Zouk they share with audiences around the world. Pedro and Ana will offer a mini class to introduce you to the basic steps of Zouk (no partner or experience needed)
1:00pm Henri Star and Muhammad School of Music Chamber Players: Henri Star is passionate about nurturing Black and minority students in their pursuit of classical music training. He founded the Muhammad School of Music (MSOM) in 1999 to create a nurturing environment where students can excel.
2:00pm Saranaide: Saranaide is an accomplished vocalist, songwriter and musician based out of Western New York. With parents from Panama and Puerto Rico, Saranaide has dipped into her DNA to embrace and celebrate the pulses and sounds of Latin America; exploding on the Buffalo Jazz Scene with a new vigor. Inspired by the legends of soul and jazz riding on the rhythms of the world, Saranaide's unique sound is sweet honey dripping over a spicy stew.
3:00 pm Hayatidance: Bogdana, dance instructor, choreographer, and event producer based in Buffalo, NY. Bogdana has a passion for sharing traditional and fusion international dance styles, Hayatidance brings a unique flair to every performance and class. As the founder and creative director of The Kind Killers, she pushes the boundaries of artistry and creativity, infusing each movement with cultural richness. Specializing in Belly Dance, Haytidance celebrates the beauty of the Middle Eastern, North Africa, Hellenic, and Turkish heritage, while creating an inclusive space where all can exploreand connect with these ancient art forms in a modern way.
4:00pm DJ Desirez: A high-energy based Buffalo based DJ, educator influencer and leader who brings people together through music, culture and joy. As the co-host of thr Gospel Party 716 and host of The D-Mix on WBNY 91.3 FM, she blends gospel, hip-hop, and global sounds to create inclusive, uplifting experiences. Known for her powerful presence at events like Kindom Bound 2024, DJ Desirez represents the heartbeat of Buffalo-faith-filled, diverse, and unapologetically vibrant.
5:00pm El Batey Puerto Rican Center: El Batey is a non-profit organization committed to creating safe and engaging spaces for youth. Their rich programming centers around family, culture and traditions. El Batey offers cultural dance and percussion classes for both kids and adults.
5:45pm SAWA SAWA BAND: Playing the music of Central South Africa
